My top picks for doormats with the wow factor

What’s the simplest way to update your front entry for spring (or any season for that matter)? A doormat! Yes, you might be as surprised as me that I’m writing about doormats, but hear me out. You don’t need to overcomplicate things, sometimes keeping life simple is the best answer, especially during a global pandemic. If this past year has taught us anything its that simple everyday objects can bring a bit of joy to the day to day routine.

As part of my blog series all about front doors & entryways and to do a little shout out about my new design services, I’m sharing my top picks for adding a bit of style to your front doors. The good news is that there are so many affordable and stylish doormats available to match just about every style of home. So if your style if contemporary to coastal, traditional to bohemian, retro to romantic, or industrial to country – there is a doormat for every style and taste.  You can read Creating an Entry to be Proud of blog HERE (full of inspiration & tips) and my Five Entryway Looks blog HERE (full of moodboards and products).

If you are looking for advice, tips or help creating your own one of a kind front door and entryway in your home, please reach out. I have new design packages that are all about creating a first impression that makes you smile and more importantly gives you a real sense of pride about your home. The design packages range from ‘inspiration only’ to ‘full design’ so depending if you just want some advice to get started or if you are too busy and want me to do everything – there is something for everyone and every budget.

For April, spaces are booking up quickly and I only have one opening available. I have more availability in May. All you need to do is send me a message and we can have a free phone consult to get started.

My top tip about doormats is be sure to check if the doormat is an indoor/outdoor or indoor only doormat. Some of the coir doormats are not suitable for outdoor use and the colours fade or deteriorate fast in the sun. Yes, sun, the bright thing up in the sky.

Have a lovely Easter holiday everyone!
