shop local: catalog interiors

Ho. Ho. Ho. You don’t need me to tell you that the Holiday season is upon us. I normally wait until the start of December but this year, I think we can all use some holiday cheer right now.

In the run up to Christmas, I’ve decided to pull together a shop small edit celebrating local indie businesses and all the things that make them special and unique. These creatives and makers spend months searching out gifts that are far from cookie cutter – they spark conversations, create FOMO, and have everyone wishing they had the insider scoop on where to source killer one of a kind gifts.

Let’s face it, Amazon has sky rocketed during lockdown and Jeff Bezos is already a billionaire. He doesn’t need any more of our money. Our local shops, our small businesses and our local makers need our support to survive.

A very scandi Christmas at Catalog Interiors

That’s why I’m delighted to share my first Holiday Edit with the incredibly talented Catalog Interiors. Catalog is an icon in Edinburgh and they’ve recently moved into a new space that is best described as Luxuriously Industrial, It is a perfect backdrop to showcase top contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories brands. Dixie, Ralf and team are super knowledgeable, friendly and bursting with ideas. They also have a beautiful new website and can also be found on as a boutique on Trouva.

I popped in last week to check out their newly opened Christmas corner and here’s my edit:
